Personal License (Alcohol Licensing)
The 2003 Licensing Act requires that people sell alcohol responsibly. Stambridge Training can provide you with the training and qualifications you need to obtain a personal licence (APLH) issued by the local authorities licensing department. This Level 2 Award ensures that people involved in the sale of alcohol do so responsibly and legally.
The types of businesses and organisations that need alcohol licences include:
- Pubs and bars
- Late-opening cafes
- Village and community halls
This one day course is designed to provide the Personal licence holder with their obligations under the law and the level of responsibility the authorities and the public expect them to exercise when selling alcohol. Attendees will be able to understand and implement the requirements of the Licensing Act,
You must be over 18 to attend.
The Course Includes:
- Statutory requirement for anyone selling alcohol/authorising sales alcohol
- Duties of a Personal Licence Holder
- Licensing objectives
- Licensable activities
- The Law in relation to children and licensed premises
The course is assessed by a 40 question multiple choice exam.
